ENERGY

Due to the need to raise awareness of climate change and to establish alternative sources of energy, Montepino has been focusing on developing renewable energies for a decade, developing a business area based on these sources of energy. This new area has contributed to the economic diversification of the group.

Over the last few years, we have invested in developing photovoltaic solar electrical energy, installing over 2,500,000 Wp of solar panels on the roofs of our buildings. We have also developed one of the largest roof installations in the country, capable of providing 1.4 MW from just one panel.

To date, over 21,500,000 kWh have been produced.

This solar energy produced by Montepino has prevented the release of 11,500 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
